Forming partnerships and combined working strengthens our impact and gives us an improved and resilient regional infrastructure. BASIS (Building & Sustaining Infrastructure Services) Big Lottery funding has been integral to this aim as has SWRDA (South West Regional Development Agency).
We also work with other organisations delivering support in our county. If you are interested in grant funding for an individual and none of our current grant programmes are suitable, please click here to view the Cornwall Works options.

| Sunday 18th OR ANY DAY IN JULY! | The Big Lunch |
Time for a Big Lunch – how will your community get involved? In July communities across the UK will be celebrating neighbourliness by eating lunch together, in the middle of their streets, in parks, and on patches of common ground. Last year, up to a million people, in every kind of community all across the UK, took part in over 8000 lunches. It was the biggest set of street parties since the Golden Jubilee and 80% said they felt closer to their neighbours as a result. The Big Lunch aims to help strengthen neighbourhoods and promote social cohesion. It began life as a wild seed at The Eden Project. We believe that the world can get better and become safer through communities working together, with nature, optimism and common sense, to tackle local issues. It’s a chance for different generations and backgrounds to listen to each other and share stories, skills and interests. The Big Lunch is the start of a journey into rebuilding our communities. We call this phenomenon ‘human warming’. Strengthen your community by hosting a Big Lunch in your area. You can tie it in to an existing event, or use it as an excuse to bring people together to celebrate success, launch a new project, recruit new volunteers or even raise funds. Most Big Lunches are happening on Sunday 18th July but any time in July is fine. What to do next
