In Memoriam Lady Mary Holborow DCVO
12 June 2017
We are deeply saddened that Lady Mary Holborow DCVO has passed away. She will be greatly missed by us all. Lady Mary established the Cornwall Community Foundation in 2003 and was the first Chair of the Foundation. Lady Mary was a Trustee until 2016 and last year became Vice President of the Foundation. She chaired the CCF’s Grants Committee and Friends Committee. Lady Mary remained very involved with grant awarding and with the Friends of the Foundation.
In 2005 Lady Mary, then Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, and Vice Lord Lieutenant Michael Galsworthy, launched the Lord Lieutenant's Fund for Youth (LLFY). LLFY continues to inspire and support exceptional ability in Cornwall's young.

She felt very passionately about supporting and empowering communities. Her drive and enthusiasm made things happen. Lady Mary will be greatly missed by all of us – not only at the Foundation but all across Cornwall and beyond.”
Lady Mary was Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall for 17 years and a passionate supporter of charities in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.Back
