C100 Club awards £14,000 grants to local community projects

At the October meeting of the C100 Grant Panel members supported applications from eight community groups who received awards ranging from £935 to £3,000. The money is being used to improve community spaces, provide activities that bring communities together and support charitable organisations helping children and young people.

Cornwall C100 Club members support Liskeard & Looe Foodbank

Cornwall C100 Club members Cornwall Glass and Millerson Estate and Letting Agents visited Liskeard and Looe Foodbank to present a cheque for £2800 to enable the foodbank to improve their storage and handling facilities. The Foodbank continues to see growth in demand for its services. From January to the end of August this year 1096 people have been given emergency food. This equates to 9864 meals. The people helped include 376 children.

How, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Foundation awarded £633,000 to 480 community projects. The Review also explains why Cornish communities need help and how your giving enables us to award grants to local communities.

Coverack update - fund-raising and grants awarded

6 September 2017

Ferocious flash floods swept through Coverack village and surrounding valleys in July. The Foundation immediately opened its Cornwall Emergency Fund awarding £6505 in grants to date, with more applications currently being processed. The first grants were awarded within days of the flood.
