St Austell Brewery has been brewing beer and real ale in Cornwall since 1851 and runs over 170 of the most popular pubs in the South West. 100% independent, St Austell Brewery is the 2nd largest private employer in Cornwall. It also the South West’s largest wholesaler of wines, spirits, minerals, lagers and beers, serving over 3000 pubs, hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants in the region.
With a large number of award wins under its belt, St Austell Brewery mmost recently wonRegional Brewery of the Year 2012 at The Publicans’ Supplier Awards. The Brewery also won three awards at the World Beer Awards for Proper Job and Admiral’s Ale. Smugglers Grand Cru was also crownedChampion Speciality Beer at the latest Quality Drinks Awards.
St Austell Brewery’s five main cask ale beer brands are: Tribute, Proper Job, Trelawny, Dartmoor Best and HSD. The bottled beer range consists of HSD, Tribute, Proper Job, Admiral’s Ale, Trelawny, Smugglers, Smugglers Grand Cru, Clouded Yellow wheat beer and Korev Cornish lager (Korev is also now available on draught).
Founded in 1851, the company is a recognised centre of excellence for training, accredited by the British Institute of Inn keeping (BII), offering a wide range of courses to people who work in the licensed trade.
